About Carli…

 

I trained at RADA and have over 30 years experience performing in theatre and television, probably most recognised from my roles on Eastenders, Holby and Hollyoaks. Together with Dom, I have produced, written and hosted our own shows performing all over the country. We have hosted festivals to crowds of thousands, as well as corporate ceremonies and events. In 2016 we opened a vintage boutique in Colchester, and made a great connection within the community- many of our customers I now consider friends. I feel that the experience I’ve gained in performing over the years is tantamount to delivering a ceremony that is clear, precise, heartfelt and sincere. It also helps that I am recognized, both from my Television work and work within the community, as family and guests alike feel they have a connection with me already.

SPIRITUAL BACKGROUND

I grew up in a very Spiritual home- my parents were both healers and they ran a healing sanctuary from our home for as long as I can remember. These evenings included counseling many families and individuals who had experienced personal grief. I myself adopted the Spiritual beliefs that my parents had, and although I would never push these onto individuals without invitation, I feel that my understanding of death and grief have given me a wealth of experience in helping others through the grieving and healing process. I started counseling others 20 years ago and after losing my own mother this year, after a long battle with cancer, and indeed the sudden passing of my father 13 years ago, I have dealt with my own grief and can empathise greatly with sudden loss.

 

THE JOY OF WEDDINGS

The weddings I’ve attended and officiated over the years have varied from Vintage themed to Wild Weddings. My love of vintage is anchored so deeply in me I can’t help but step up to the occasion if called for, with perfectly coiffed hair and a slick of red lipstick. Of course, being an actress and chameleon means I have a wealth of  styles to adapt to your occasion, fitting in beautifully with the theme of the décor and ambience!
